Marquies Johnson, RWF Manager at #65 at Gurnee Mills in Illinois, confesses his style secrets to us. His style revolves "all around the shoes". From raiding Gianni Versace's closet to his tenth grade vintage Converse, this is one confession you will want to read.
Q: If you could only shop at one clothing store for a year, what store would you choose?
MJ: Gucci would be my first choice. Their men's wear is crazy, but in reality I would choose Zara. I love Zara's fashion.
Q: Strangest piece in your closet?
MJ: Well I still have my first pair of Converse ever! I'm talking tenth grade old! Hashtag vintage!
Q: Whose closet would you like to raid?
MJ: I would love to raid the late Gianni Versace's closet. His mansion was so neat and artsy. I've always been fascinated with his designs for women and I know he designed some great pieces for himself.
Q: Favorite decade of fashion and why?
MJ: I would have to say the present because all decades of fashion repeat themselves. To see fashion now and how people bring previous decades into the present is great. I feel like people dab into the past to find inspiration for today's fashion.
Q: When you're bored with your wardrobe how do you reinvent your look?
MJ: Sometimes I like to mix things together that you never would have thought went together. Sometimes you come out with an epic look. I get inspired by an item and I build around that. I'm a sneaker head and it always start with the shoes.
Q: Style item you'll never part from?
MJ: A fresh pair of Nike dunks! Again it's all about the shoes.
