#RepairReuseRecycle with Rainbow Sandals

Happy Earth Day 2016! Here at Robert Wayne we observe this day of eco-awareness by highlighting Rainbow Sandals' Repair, Reuse, Recycle program. From the very beginning Rainbow founder Jay Longley wanted to make a high-quality sandal that "would not end up in a landfill."

Rainbow's philosophy starts in its soles; they're constructed in layers which allow them to be repaired where needed. Rainbow accepts worn Rainbow sandals for donation to be repaired and then re-donated to victims of natural disasters and homelessness through their Repair, Reuse, Recycle program. Recycling the sandals serves the double purpose of helping those in need and preventing repairable things from unnecessarily ending up in a landfill.

Tree hugging is beautiful, but another way to contribute is by taking part in the program offered by Rainbow Sandals next time you have an unwanted pair. Creating less trash cancels out environmental damage and as small as it may seem, slightly swings the balance in favor of Earth.

Not everything that ends up in a landfill is beyond use and Rainbow takes the extra step of offering their Repair, Reuse, Recycle program 365 days a year. When your Rainbow Sandals are ready for retirement, make a deposit into the planet's good karma and mail your retired Rainbow Sandals with a note that includes the word "donation" and your name and address to:
