Product Review: Dr. Martens DM's Lite

Dr. Martens just became Lite. The Newton has the same attitude of the 1460 with a modern, sleek silhouette - and without a third of the weight. No stranger to revolution, this is the first time the iconic 1460 boot has re-evolved with lightweight construction. The original 1460 was favored by British mods in the 60s, punks in the 70s, goths in the 80s, and the grunge crowd of the 90s. The original Docs have gone through decades of change, without changing its construction. But the time is right for something a little Lite-r.

Just like the original Dr. Martens 1460 introduced in 1960, DM's Lite share AirWair soles, their signature yellow welted stitch, and classic heel loop. To up the ante, every pair of DM's Lite has:

  • SoftWair memory foam insole for all-day comfort.
  • Soft, smooth, and broken-in Temperley leathers.
  • Ultra lightweight, flexible sole.

Our model Krista tried them for the first time today and gave us a mini product review:

"I love how light they are and how they look! I've never had a pair of Dr. Martens before but I think I'm going to have to get this pair. They feel really good on and I'm surprised at how lightweight they feel. These are cute!"
