Biker shorts + Waist Packs

Get inspired to add a twist of the 90s with looks that are totally wearable now. 90s fashion inspiration is everywhere in 2019. Pre-2000s technology was primitive compared to today (anyone remember landline telephones…with cords?), but fashion in the 90s marked a decade with memorable trends that deserve a comeback in 2019.

Waist Packs (aka “fanny packs” in the 90s):

Though the fanny pack’s aesthetic was definitely questionable for a few years between 1992 and now, if we’ve learned anything from 2019 it’s that waist packs are back. Walkman, beeper and traveler’s checks not required this time around. If you don’t know what any of those are, you can most definitely pull off the Waist Pack trend (and you should since they’re not relegated to the waist despite the name - see exhibit A below).

New spin on the 90s fanny pack: Waist Packs slung over your shoulder and across your chest are so very 2019.

90s Sporty Vibes

Wherever you fall on the fitness scale, sporty fashion vibes have been around for most of our current decade, but gains new life with inspiration from the 90s. Think windbreakers, athletic-looking running shoes and straight leg jeans. Score extra sporty vibe points with a waist pack. But you already knew that when you bought your Fila Disruptor IIs ;-)

90s Neon

Nothing says 90s like extra bright, you-gotta-wear-shades neon colors. Neutrals are nice but bringing back neon adds a fresh highlight to your look. Stand out in the FILA Disruptor II.
