Q & A with David Castillo
Q: How many pairs of shoes do you own? Which pair are your favorite?
DC: I own around 11 pairs of shoes, I wouldn't say I have a favorite pair but my usual go to are my 1460 Dr. Martens. They're comfortable and easy to match with mostly anything.
Q: What are the three most worn items in your closet?
DC: The three most worn items would be my black skinny jeans, my denim jacket and any color oversize sweater.
Q: What's the last piece of clothing you purchased?
DC: The last piece of clothing I purchased is a pair of olive green joggers, they're so comfortable and easy to wear. I'm tempted to buy every color the store has.
Q: What style icon's closet do you wish you had?
DC: I can't think of just one person, but if I could I would take a few items of clothing from Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Harry Style.
Q: How has your style evolved over the last couple of years?
DC: Over the past years I've definitely tried different styles, instead of just sticking with the one certain look and falling under a category. I like my clothes to reflect my mood and to be appropriate for whatever occasion I'm dressing for.
Q: What is the most treasured item in your closet?
DC: The most treasured item in my closet would be my black leather biker jacket. I wanted one for so long and I found one that wasn't too expensive so when I do wear it, it feels like it adds a little something to the outfit.
Q: Describe yourself in three words.
DC: Three words that describe me are adventurous, creative and proactive.
Q: What is the most outrageous things you've ever worn?
DC: My outrageous outfits are saved for any concert I'll go to. I like to dress according to the theme of the concert. For example, I went to a Katy Perry concert a few years ago and I used hair chalk to turn my hair green. I wore plaid skinny jeans and a ripped up UNIF shirt with my greasy Dr. Martens. I should mention those pants have yet to be worn again.
Q: What is the most expensive style item you splurged on? Was it worth it?
DC: At the moment I haven't treated myself to something too expensive, but whenever I do I hope it's worth it. Something that won't go out of style.
